No sugar, no dye, no processed foods and no time!

IMG_3262               Once upon a time I was a semi-high powered ad executive living a jet set life and going to top restaurants.  Then we adopted a beautiful, amazing baby who turned out to have a mood disorder and were were mandated a strict no sugar, no food dye, no processed food diet.  I cut back to consulting one day a week and moved into the mostly full-time mommy seat.  Now I’m struggling to keep one dog, two cats, two goldfish, a five year old and a mostly vegetarian husband alive and fed while maintaining a semi-eco friendly house (I’m no saint).  My journey through how our food effects our moods, our well being and pretty much aspect of our lives has led me to a this wacky place of whole food eating.  Instead of seeing my daughter’s challenges as a burden I see that it’s been a huge blessing for us.  I’ve discovered how much food effects all of us, we just weren’t really paying attention!  I’m no chef and I never intended to be a stay at home mom, but here I am.  Take this wacky journey with us through food and parenting.
